Tails from the Trailz: Sadie & Nuts!

Well, this is long overdue, but better late than never because these amazing GoDogz definitely deserve their Tailz! Introducing…Sadie and Nuts!

Here's Sadie!

Sadie is a young hound mix with a shady past.  A rescue, she is a little timid at first around strangers, but looooves her walks, her best friend, Nuts, and a good petting.

Peanut, a.k.a. “Nuts,” is a small dachshund with a large personality.  He is very protective of his pal, Sadie; when I first arrived at their house, he wasn’t so sure whether or not I could be trusted, and spent some time guarding his friend before I convinced him that a walk would be just the thing.

Happy Nuts on a walk

When I picked up the leashes, Sadie came right over.  ‘A walk?’ she seemed to say.  ‘I would love a walk!’ With his pal on board, Nuts was quick to join up.

Once harnessed, however, Nuts laid down on his dog bed, looking stubborn, while Sadie stood excitedly by the door.  I convinced Nuts that no, his legs were not broken, and once we got outside he was very happy to walk, too.

Leashes in hand = instant tail wag

The two pups led me on a great loop, and over the course of the next few days we explored the path around the harbor, a fun neighborhood park, and the trails of Arana Gulch, as well as many interesting side streets.  In true GoDog spirit, both dogs clearly enjoyed their outdoor adventures.

After a walk, Nuts would always race around the house, darting at Sadie, then back again, and the two would spend a minute wrestling before settling down.  Afterwards, we would all kick back and relax.  Nuts preferred to snuggle on the couch with me, while Sadie would either lay nearby so I could pet her on the head, or she would curl up on her dog bed.

Aww, sleepy-time!

Sometimes the two pups would curl up together, radiating cuteness as they recharged, preparing for another fun GoDogz day ahead.
