Dana grew up in the country surrounded by dogs, cats, cows and horses. In addition to being an animal lover she has been an artist since the day she could hold a pencil. When she’s not hiking and running dogs by day, Dana makes art and co-owns a local art gallery, The Art Cave by night. She is never without her canine companion on the trails and assistant in the studio: Gidget!

Last year, Miranda got the opportunity to work in Zimbabwe at an animal sanctuary which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in animal conservation or animal therapy.
She was born and raised in Santa Cruz and has been a veterinary technician for almost 5 years. In her spare time Jenna enjoys running, going to the beach, and spending time with her rescue dog, Dixie and adventuring with her dwarf goat, Nelson!

Matt has been a fixture on the Santa Cruz scene for the past fifteen years, having moved from the Bay Area to attend UCSC. Originally hailing from the mid-western prairies of Canada, he majored in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology before deciding on a different life course. Developing a passion for volleyball late in life, over the past seven years he has been a referee at the local indoor level, satisfying his love of the natural world in part through playing the sport on the beach and taking care of many, many Santa Cruz dogs (plus the occasional cat).
